Only One Issue

I ordered this holster for OWB concealed carry during the winter months as I always have a mid-length jacket on. It is fit for a VP9 with a Streamlight TLR-1. The holster fits the weapon and light perfectly, and with the 15 degree cant makes for a natural, rapid, and smooth draw.
My only complaint is that the anterior belt loop is impossible for me to feed my carry belt through without the aid of a knife or similar flat object (such as a car key) to guide the belt loop in from the opposite side due to the steep angle of the belt loop in relation to the rest of the holster. I don't know if this problem is unique to holsters molded after the frame plus accessory on my firearm, but it takes an extra minute or so for me to get the holster secured properly, and draws a lot of funny looks from people at the range when I have to bust out makeshift tools and fiddle around just to put it on if I'm not already wearing it. My belt isn't particularly more rigid than any other carry belt, so I don't think using another belt would fix this issue.
Functions perfectly. Just annoying to put on everyday.

I was emailed asking to write a review, so here it goes. For this style of holster it does not fit snugly to the waist line. Yes the firearm itself is right against the waist, but the belt loops stick out a good inch from the waist. Leading to a really bulky holster that doesn't flow very nice along the belt line, and always catching on my watch or other objects while walking past. The large belt loops cause a lot of upwards movement while trying to draw your firearm, which makes a nice smooth draw nearly impossible. After spending $100 on this holster, I am having a hard time being happy with it. I plan to try and find better belt loops to fit it and bend the sides so the flow into the belt line better.
So I suggest doing your research on the way this style of holster flows with the belt line when considering concealment and everyday use.
But the over all quality of build, and smooth draw in and out of holster are very very nice.
Sir, you may consider purchasing a smaller belt loop from us. It appears you have purchased a 1.75" belt loop and we actually stock 1.5". Please reach out to us and let us know if we can take care of your purchase as we back it fully.

Excellent craftsmanship. Best holster I've owned.
Tension Screw is a Plus

I like the tension screw. Often times kydex holsters do not have a screw to adjust retention and the holster can become worn and thus you handgun loose. The tension screw is much appreciated. Great design.
Best service, great produce

Good CCW carry for casual user
Posted by Colorado CCW on 13th May 2016
I am a casual user, previously LE but never a gun nut. I wanted a CCW holster for my 9mm M&P that I can access easily but it stays secure; is not obtrusive and doesn't get lost in my significant retirement love handles. I like how this sits on me and the access and draw are easy and fast. I have only used it for a month or so, though, and am experimenting with wearing more to the front versus side.

Long Shadow made a left handed holster for my wife's Ruger LCR. It didn't work quite right because of the Crimson Trace laser sight. However, Josh & the Guys immediately fixed the problem, and now the holster is perfect. Good product, good people.

weapon fits the holester like a dream

Obviously ordering by mail without the benefit of seeing much leaa being able to see that the weapon fits properly is a bit of a stretch not to mention taking a chance that the gun will fit and that it will turn out being exactly what you wanted! I couls not have been more pleased with the holester once it arrived and I placed my weapon in the holester! It was a perfect fit - snug and secure with just the right amount of tension to allow for a perfect draw of the weapon from the holester! And the holester is perect for. Oncealed carry as it fits close to the body for a minimum show that a weapon is being carried on my person (and u der oiter clothing). Could not be more happy with my purchase!
